About Dumb Stats
Dumb Stats (dumbstats.com) is a free site for the world's most pointless polls. Is a hot dog a sandwich? Do you put milk or cereal in the bowl first? How many unread emails do you have right now? Questions nobody needs answered, answered by thousands of people anyway.
Every vote is counted for the country it was cast from. That turns silly questions into a map: you can see what Norway thinks about pineapple on pizza, compare it with Brazil or Japan, and find the one country that disagrees with everyone else.
How it works
- Vote without an account. One vote per person per poll. You can change your answer later.
- See results by country. Each poll page has charts with votes by country and over time.
- Browse the map. Tap a country on the map to see its top polls, or open all polls.
- Swipe. Swipe mode shows one poll at a time, like cards.
- Make your own. Sign in with Google to create polls and share them with friends. Five polls are free; paid plans give more, including private link-only polls.
- Read it in your language. Polls are translated automatically into English, Norwegian, Vietnamese, Spanish, French, Arabic, Thai and Chinese.
Keeping it fun
Polls are written by users. Anything hateful, sexual, violent or aimed at a real person is not allowed (see the terms), and every poll has a Report button. Reported polls are reviewed and removed when they break the rules.
The results are just for fun. They depend on who happens to vote and are not scientific.
Who runs it
Dumb Stats is an independent project made and run from Norway. It is paid for by ads and by the optional paid plans. Questions, ideas for polls or problems? Get in touch.
